1. सतनामी संप्रदाय की स्थापना “बीरभान” नामक एक संत द्वारा की गई।
2. सतनामी संप्रदाय की स्थापना हरियाणा के नारनौल नामक स्थान पर 1657 में हुई ।
3. इस संप्रदाय की प्रमुख धार्मिक गतिविधि भगवान, विशेष रूप से राम और कृष्ण के सच्चे नामों (सत-नाम) का जप और ध्यान करना है।
4. इस संप्रदाय को रविदासी संप्रदाय की एक शाखा माना जाता है।
5. इस संप्रदाय के अनुयायी मुंडिया कहलाते थे।
6. सतनामियों के धार्मिक ग्रन्थ को पोथी कहा जाता है।
7. 1862 में उन्होंने शक्तिशाली मुगल साम्राज्य के खिलाफ विद्रोह कर दिया।
8. औरंगजेब ने स्वयं व्यक्तिगत कमान संभाली और सतनामियों को कुचलने के लिए तोपखाने के साथ 10,000 सैनिकों भेजे और विद्रोह को कुचला।
